Publish date: 11-08-2006
According to the paper, in case the legal persons that are paying the VAT ask for the change of their registration certificates following some changes in the name or address of the company headquarters, the National Trade Register Office will issue another registration certificate to include also the new fiscal identifier under the RO prefix followed by the unique registration code for the VAT payer.
A company that by December 31, 2006 does not obtain the new VAT registration code will not be able to deduct its VAT in case it carries some intracommunity deals.
The draft proposed by the Minister of Public Finance is a direct consequence of the enforcement by Romania of the European Commission's regulation on administrative cooperation in the VAT field, the National Agency of Fiscal Administration shows in a release.
