National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, two coins

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 - the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, on 25 June 2012, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, two coins: a collector gold coin and a commemorative brass coin, both of them dedicated to the anniversary of 500 years since the enthronement of Saint Voivode Neagoe Basarab in Wallachia and since the initiation of construction works on the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery.
The two coins have the following characteristics:

Obverse 1: the face value "100 LEI”, Romania's coat of arms, "ROMANIA” inscribed in an arc and the year of issue "2012” against a background depicting a section image of the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery.
Obverse 2: the face value "50 BANI”, Romania's coat of arms, "ROMANIA” inscribed in an arc and the year of issue "2012” against a background depicting a section image of the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery.
Reverse (the same for the two coins): the portrait of ruling prince Neagoe Basarab, the image of the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery, the year "1512” and the inscriptions "BISERICA MANASTIRII CURTEA DE ARGES” and "NEAGOE BASARAB”.
Both coins in this numismatic issue are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The collector gold coin, with the face value of lei 100, housed in a transparent plastic case, will be accompanied by a leaflet featuring a brief presentation of the numismatic issue in Romanian, English and French. The leaflet comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The commemorative circulating coins with the face value of bani 50 will have the same characteristics as bani 50 coins currently in circulation.
The commemorative circulating coins with the face value of bani 50 will circulate in parallel with bani 50 coins issued in 2005, 2010 and 2011 currently in circulation.
The collector gold coins with the face value of lei 100 dedicated to the anniversary of 500 years since the enthronement of Saint Voivode Neagoe Basarab in Wallachia and since the initiation of construction works on the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery will be put into circulation through the branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Timisoara.
The selling price of the collector gold coin with the face value of lei 100 (including the leaflet) is lei 1,785.00 per piece, excluding VAT.
The commemorative coins with the face value of bani 50 dedicated to the anniversary of 500 years since the enthronement of Saint Voivode Neagoe Basarab in Wallachia and since the initiation of construction works on the church of Curtea de Arges Monastery will be put into circulation through the branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Timisoara on the occasion of cash payments to credit institutions/the State Treasury.
