Industrial new orders up by 24 percent in first six months
Publish date: 06-08-2010In the first six months of 2010, the industrial new orders went up by 23.9 percent overall, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, due to the increase registered in the intermediate goods industry (+31.7 percent), capital goods industry (+25.9 percent) and in the consumer durables industry (+18.1 percent), according to the data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Thursday.
In the above-mentioned period, the household goods industry dropped 0.9 percent. Overall (on the national and international market), the industrial new orders increased in nominal terms, both compared to the previous month and the same month of the prior year, by 15.5 percent and 34.6 percent respectively, according to the INS
