FinMin Sebastian Vladescu: IMF Board to meet on July 2
Publish date: 30-06-2010The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Board will meet on July 2, Romanian Minister of Public Finance Sebastian Vladescu on Tuesday announced.
"The International Monetary Fund Board will meet on July 2 and not on Wednesday, as initially set, due to technical reasons, " Vladescu said at a press conference held jointly with the Minister of Administration and Interior Vasile Blaga on topic of combating tax evasion.
The Finance Minister also specified that the additional letter is "all right" and all laws that were to be implemented came into force. Moreover, the austerity measures will be implemented beginning with July 1.
According to Vladescu, a new IMF mission will arrive in Romania after July 20.
