What kind of salaries construction workers expect to earn?Updated: 17-03-2010 | Business
Over half (54%) of marketing agents in construction industry expect their salaries to remain at last year levels, while 16% anticipate a payroll cut in 2010, an IBS Focus survey found.22% of the surveyed marketing agents anticipate a 5% decline in their salaries in the first six months this year from the same period of 2009 while 67% of the marketing agents predict a stagnation in the first half. However, almost half of the respondents anticipate an increase in their sales target for the remainder of the first half, while 41% expect an equal target. Depending on the industry and size of the company, a sales director's monthly earnings start from €1,500 - 2,000 and can easily exceed €5,000. The average net earnings in the construction industry stood at 1,215 lei (€209) according to December data provided by the National Institute of Statistics. The survey was carried between February 4 and 15 2010. 100 marketing specialists in the construction industry participated in the survey.
