Ministry of Economy plans to sell majority stake in Avioane Craiova
Publish date: 26-11-2009Ministry of Economy (ME) announced its plans to offer for sale the share package, accounting for 80.9778 percent of the share capital of Avioane Craiova (south) Co.
As well, ME says it is open to attraction of investments to this company by conclusion of partnerships/association for the participation in/the creation of a joint capital company, as well as through some other means provided by the law in the aim to re-launch its activity.
To this end, potentially interested investors are invited to forward their interest options to ME headquarters - the Bureau for Privatization and State Participations (OPSPI), proposing one or several means to approach this issue.
Avioane Craiova is a commercial company specialized in producing specific products for the aeronautical industry, respectively aircraft construction, other aircraft products, collection models, metallic components, specific structure elements for the horizontal industry. At the same time, it provides services, especially for military and civil avionics industry.
Avioane Craiov Co. is the sole producer of military type aircraft in Romania.
Among the advantages offered by the company to potential investors are: a flexible production structure, technological processes for the production of high complexity products, a qualified labor force, the company having now 380 employees.
Avioane Craiova has fast access to the Airport in Craiova (one kilometer) with company's own runway linking to it, a center for flight tests in its compound, as well as the operational authorizations issued by the Romanian military and civil air control authorities.
In the situation potential investors are interested in finding more about Avioane Craiova Co., they can pay a technical visit to the company headquarters, with the prior signature of a confidentiality engagement at OPSPI headquarters, exempt of taxes.
