Romania's international reserves, 28.402 bln euros
Publish date: 03-11-2009On October 31, 2009 Romania's foreign exchange reserves stood at 28.402 billion euros compared to 28.339 billion euros on Sept. 30, 2009, Romania's National Bank (BNR) announced on Monday.
Inflows totalled 1.278 billion euros, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, inflows in the Ministry of Public Finances' accounts, inflows in the European Commission's account, income from the management of foreign exchange reserves, a.s.o.;
Outflows totaled 1,215 billion euros, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, interest and principal payments on public and publicly guaranteed external debt, a.s.o.
The gold stock has held steady at 103.7 tones. However, following the change in the international price of gold, its value amounted to 2,345 billion euros.
The international reserves of Romania (foreign currencies and gold) on October 31st, 2009 stood at 30,747 billion euros, compared to 30,615 billion euros on September 30th 2009.
During the month of November 2009, the payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt amount to 113 million euros.
