EBRD May Lend EUR27M To Sibiu City Hall For Infrastructure Upgrade
Publish date: 20-10-2009The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development may grant a loan of up to EUR27 million to the Sibiu municipality, central Romania, over the next two years, for a complex street rehabilitation program and construction of one small road bridge, EBRD said Monday.
The total project costs are estimated at EUR33 million, according to an announcement posted on EBRD's website.
Thus, EBRD will provide the loan in two tranches of EUR11.5 million committed and up to EUR15.5 million un-committed, namely to be committed within the next two years, the statement read.
The funds will target investments in street rehabilitation and construction of the bridge to improve traffic and lessen congestion on they key transport routes of the city of Sibiu.
