Study: Bucharest, the cheapest city in Europe for companies
Publish date: 08-10-2009Bucharest ranks first among 34 European cities for the lowest costs companies have with employees, on the rise by one position against 2008, according to a rating of European cities made by Cushman &Wakefield real estate consulting company. On the other hand, the Capital of Romania ranks 30 in the same classification for the quality of life for company employees of the cities analysed.
Bucharest is the least expensive European city for companies when speaking about costs for employees, the conclusions of a study made by Cushman& Wakefield on a sample of 500 of the largest European companies in 34 European cities show.
Compared to last year, Bucharest climbed one position while the following positions are held by Istanbul (6th in 2008) and Budapest (same position as last year). However, Bucharest is among the last cities for many other aspects, one of them being the quality of life of company employees. More exactly, Bucharest ranks 30tgh out of 34, on the rise from position 31 held last year. Barcelona, Geneva and Munich are the cities with the best life conditions offered to employees. Moscow ranked last (position 34) , Warsaw 33rd, Istanbul and Budapest 31st.
In the general top of European cities considered "bets for business", Bucharest climbed a position to 30. The first three positions are held by London, Paris and Frankfurt.
