McDonald's Romania Head Marian Alecu Leaves Company
Publish date: 24-09-2009McDonald's Romania general manager Marian Alecu will leave the company in which he has worked for 16 years, of which the past 12 at the helm, and will be replaced, as of October 1, by Karen Bishop, Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's Russia & Eastern Europe.
"After a 16-year career in the McDonald's system, out of which 12 years in the position of general manager, Marian Alecu decided to leave the company to develop new opportunities," Wednesday said Atena Balint, PR supervisor within McDonals's Romania.
Karen Bishop started his career in 1981 at McDonald's Canada and has contributed to the consolidation of the fast food network's operations in Russia.
Bishop has also run the company's activity in Belarus, Ukraine and Sweden.
In Romania, McDonald's fast food chain is made up of 60 restaurants.
