The amount of individual bonuses and indemnities will not exceed 30% of the basic salaries for each employee in the public sector, but the Romanian Government can approve potential hikes for certain categories of employees and for temporary work conditions that entail additional payments.

"The Romanian government can exceed the ceiling for certain categories of employees and temporary work conditions that entail additional payments, while observing the 30% ceiling for all credit ordinators," according to a document that includes the list of the 39 amendments included in the unitary pay law.

The draft law submitted to the Parliament currently stipulates only that the amount of cumulated bonuses in the total budget, for all credit ordinators, cannot exceed, an average 30% of the basic salaries, the allotments for basic positions or the monthly indemnities for professional ranking, if the case.
