INS: Net average salary advanced in July by RON 11
Publish date: 07-09-2009The net average earning advanced in July by RON 11 or by 0.8 per cent to RON 1390, the highest value, RON 3,400 being reported for air transport activities, and the lowest one, in wood processing, where it amounted to RON 807.
This development was due to the payment of holiday bonuses, in kind rights and money aid from salary fund, as well as to reporting higher production levels, according to a press release issued by National Institute of Statistics (INS). The average gross salary amounted to RON 1901, by 0.7 per cent more than in June.
The drops in salaries were caused by shrinkage in activity, as well as by the payment of amounts from net profit and occasional prizes during the previous month. Thus, the amounts diminished by 14.8 per cent in financial services, except for insurance and pension funds, and by 3 to 7 per cent in beverage production, basic pharmaceutical production, printing and support recording, education, other industrial activities, editing, health and social care. In July, compared to the same month of the previous year, the net average salary earning advanced by 6.3 per cent. The real earning index, compared to the similar time period of the previous year, advanced by 1.2 per cent.
