The last details on Nabucco project, discussed last night by Executive
Publish date: 13-07-2009The government had a session, yesterday, around 21:00, to discuss on the Nabucco project, remaining that PM Emil Boc signs today, in Ankara, the inter-governmental agreement, instead of President Traian Basescu. This happens in spite of the fact that the head of state informed on Friday that "some issues have occurred in relation to Nabucco intergovernmental agreement", a reason because of which he postpones for next week (editor note, this week) the visit scheduled at the two yards along Bucharest - Brasov motorway.
The speaker of Nabucco Gas Pipeline International consortium, Christian Dolezal, denies the statements of the president and he said, for Mediafax, that he had no information as to occurrence of any issues.
In his turn, Minister of Economy, Adriean Videanu, said that there were no issues in relation to the agreement for Nabucco, the only alteration needed being the transfer of the mandate for the signing of the intergovernmental agreement from Minister of Economy to PM.
The Turkish authorities expect that the transit agreement, to be signed today by the participating countries in Nabucco project, beings Turkey annual proceeds, from fees, amounting to EUR 400 - 450 M, according to officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by the local newspaper Hurriyet.
