SMEs contemplate reducing their activity

Most of the SME owners, meaning 83 per cent, have negative estimates regarding the profit that they will obtain this year, says the president of the National Union of the Romanian Owners (UNPR), Petre Milut, quoted by Adevarul Online. Thus, according to the owners' associations, 76 per cent of the interviewed SMEs intend to adapt themselves to the current economic conditions reducing their activities, while only 16 per cent of them are looking for investors for the recapitalization of their businesses.

Over 60 per cent of the SMEs consider that crediting relaxation, correlated with other economic measures, could conduct to a better functioning of the affairs, while 34 per cent of them say that the measures must consist of a fiscal relaxation. Also, 55 per cent of the small and medium sized enterprises believe that the agreement with IMF is a solution, while 34 per cent believe the opposite.
