Romania Fiscal Auth Scraps Postal Sys For Income Statement Delivery/Reception
Publish date: 30-03-2009Romania's fiscal regulator ANAF decided to scarp its postal system for delivery and reception of income statements in an attemp to save 5.33 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2484) and taxpayers will have to submit their income statements directly to the local fiscal offices.
"A recent financial analysis indicated that the postal system for delivery and reception of income statements entails costs estimated at RON5,335,000, which are way too high. In the fallout of the economic crisis, which also affected Romania, the regulator's head, Sorin Blejnar, decided to reduce costs," a press release of ANAF read.
Thus, the regulator proposes two variants for taxpayers to obtain the income statements for fiscal year 2008, namely, either to download Fiscal Statement Form 200 directly from the agency's website or to go to the local fiscal offices where they will receive fiscal statement forms free of charge.
