Bancpost shareholders agree to a 214m lei share capital hike to 662m lei
Publish date: 27-01-2009Shareholders of lender Bancpost, controlled by the Greek financial group EFG Eurobank, approved today a 214 million lei share capital injection, asking an extra 181.9 million lei from subscription fees, the board president Mihai Bogza told NewsIn.
The bank's share capital could climb to 662.26 million lei.
Bancpost will issue 535 million new shares to be subscribed at 0.74 lei by the shareholders, at a subscription fee of 0.34 lei per share.
The bank's current share capital stands at 448.25 million lei and the share nominal value is 0.40 lei.
Bancpost is 77.56 percent controlled by the Greek group EFG Eurobank while little over 20 percent of the share capital belongs to four of the five financial companies known as SIF.
EFG Eurobank booked an annual133 percent growth in profit in Romania in the first nine months, to 35 million euros, after paying taxes and minority interests.
