Romanian Leu Indicative Rate At RON4.0296 Vs Euro, Lowest In 4 Years
Publish date: 05-01-2009The Romanian leu depreciated against the euro on Monday in the first trade of 2009 and the central bank computed an indicative of RON4.0296 to the euro, its weakest level in four years.
A lower indicative was computed by the central bank on November 11, 2004, at RON4.0367 to the euro.
On the forex market, the leu opened at RON4.0350/RON4.0400 against the euro in the first trade of the year, and touched an early high at RON4.0250 to the euro and an early low at RON4.0525 to the euro.
The Romanian leu ended at RON4.0150/RON4.0500 against the euro in the last trade of 2008, higher from RON4.0600/RON4.0650 to the euro a day before.
