Carrefour aiming for 1 billion euro turnover for 2008
Publish date: 28-10-2008The second largest retail company in the world, Carrefour, posted nett sales worth 71.8 billion euro during the 1st three quarters of 2008, a growth of 7.7% on the previous year.
In Romania, Carrefour has seen an increase of 47.5% in sales during the same period.
According to the French groups General Manager, Jose Luis Duran, ¨Carrefour enjoyed very good performance in the third quarter¨.
Many independent observers see the continued growth in Romanian retail sales as a significant indication that the global credit crisis continues to have little impact on the growing Romanian economy.
