Hervis Sports opening 50 stores in Romania
Publish date: 28-10-2008Sports equipment and clothing retailer, Hervis Sports, is targetting the opening of 50 new stores in Romania.
Among the 50 new stores to be opened, General Manager of Hervis Sports, Catalin Posdarie stated recently that "there will be at least seven stores in Bucharest".
Hervis Sports is a part of the Austrian Spar group and the new openings will make Romania the 2nd largest country of operation.
Currently the Hervis chain of stores operates 71 stores in Austria and has outlets in Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Hungary.
The Hervis stores carry brand names such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Wilson, Fischer, Atomic and Mammut.
Currently the chain has 4 stores in Romania and have so far generated 8 million euro in turnover. The first store in Bucharest is to be launched in November 2008 in time for the Winter Sports and Christmas market.
