Publish date: 01-10-2008IT Employees in Romania's capital Bucharest are paid double compared to their peers in Constanta, Galati or Oradea, and private companies pay an average of 50-60% more than public institutions, according to a survey on the website ghidul-salariilor.
IT employees in Bucharest receive the highest wages, followed by those in Cluj and Timisoara. Third rank the employees in Galati, Craiova, Constanta, Oradea, Targu Mures and Sibiu, the survey says.

"A manager in a private company can reach an income three times higher than in a state-run company," the study shows.
Women employed on senior programmer/developer and support specialist positions make more money than men hired for the same job.
