Publish date: 08-08-2008Businessman George Becali, financer of Steaua Bucharest football club, says he owns 10,000 hectares in the southern Romanian Dobrogea region, where he plans to develop wind energy projects.
Becali indicated that he and his Spanish associates intend to access European funds to build "the largest wind energy project in Romania. I can invest several hundred million euro to produce wind energy. I own a few companies through which I plan to access European funds," said Becali.
