TBI Credit IFN, owned by TBI Leasing, doubled the value of closed contracts last year against the previous one, to more than 100 million euros, on significant advance on the credit area, said the company's general manager, Traian Baicu.

The company closed contracts of 50 million euros in 2006 and targets 150 million euros for 2008.

It closed 92,000 contracts in 2007 and estimates 160,000 new contracts this year, for personal needs, credits and cards, said Baicu.

TBI Credit intends to hike its share capital with 2 million euros in June, reaching 12.5 million euros.

The company has more than 200 units and targets to open 100 more this year, Baicu added.

TBI Leasing is specialized in financial leasing and is controlled by the Dutch group TBIH Financial Service, one of the main operators on the Central and Eastern Europe market.
