Google Sets Up Branch In Romania
Publish date: 29-01-2008Google, the world's largest search engine opened a branch in Romania, called Google Bucharest, after in March 2007 it had appointed its consultant for Romania.
Google Bucharest is a limited liability company, with a share capital of RON200, entirely held by American company Google International LLC, according to the data enlisted in the Trade Register.
The company is administered by five individuals in the person of American citizens John Kent Walker Jr., Lloyd Hartley Martin and Nikesh Arora, British citizen Graham Law and Irish John Thomas Herlihy.
Sources close to the matter said the company's business activity is that of "consultancy and the supply of software products."
In the first nine months of 2007, Google reporter a 46.4% increase of the net profit, to $2.9 billion.
