Volkswagen: top second-hand car in 2007
Publish date: 16-01-2008Volkswagen was the most popular car on the local second-hand market in 2007, with 33,398 imported used cars registered, and 40,824 cars re-registered following their resale in Romania, according to data supplied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration (MIRA).
Another German brand, Opel, is the second-most popular used car, with 24,403 imported and 34,874 re-registered due to resale. Third spot goes to Ford, with 14,351 second-hand cars registered and 18,732 re-registered.
Volkswagen claimed 26.9 percent of the second-hand imported car market in 2007, while Opel had 19.7 percent, and Ford 11.5 percent.
