Ice hotel at Balea lake to be re-opened for Christmas
Publish date: 17-12-2007The Ice hotel at Balea lake (north west of Bucharest) is to be re-opened on December 25, the Christmas Day, Line Travel Agency informs in a release.
Total length of this ice construction is of more than 28 meters, and the width 17 meters. The hotel is designed with 10 rooms, in surface of 12 square meters each, equipped with furniture and displaying various ice decoration. This year's project main theme is Space and Galaxy and the hotel's and each room's interior being refurbished accordingly.
The rooms will not have numbers, but are to bear planet names instead. Likewise, in the hotel's interior a bar is to be arranged, where tourists could serve various beverage in ice glasses, as well as a restaurant for meal serving.
Between 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, the Ice hotel is to function as a museum and visitors could serve a cocktail in the famous ice glasses.
Between 5.00 pm - 8.00 pm, the Ice hotel is to function as a restaurant and the people desirous to serve dinner there will be met with an welcome cocktail and a seven-course menu will be served accompanied by adequate wines. The menu will cost 229 lei per person and promises a gastronomic experience.
Between 8.00 pm - midnight, the Ice hotel is to be changed into a nightclub.
