Bucharest To Host Europe's Tallest X-Mas Tree
Publish date: 27-11-2007Bucharest authorities on Monday completed the construction of Europe's tallest artificial Christmas tree, which is 76 meters high and weighs 290 tons. The tree is a gift from Portuguese Millennium Bank and was built in partnership with Bucharest mayoralty.
Adorned with 2.4 million lights and 144 electric boards, the 8-storied Christmas tree will be officially inaugurated on December 1, during a festive event at the Union Square in Bucharest.
