USD 90 mn, EUR 17.4 mn foreign loans for Tarom and Metrorex
Publish date: 02-07-2007Ministry of Economy and Finances will contract this year foreign loans amounting to maximum USD 90 mn and EUR 17.4 mn for funding, partially or fully, the programmes on equipment provision for Tarom with Airbus A 318 aircraft and for maintenance services at Metrorex, Nine o' Clock reports.
The loan, amounting to USD 90 mn, will be used for the settlement of the liabilities due to the French company Airbus for the delivery, in November – December 2007, of the last two A318 aircraft for the national air carrier Tarom, as well as for covering the advance paid by the air carrier in February – March 2007, for two other such aircraft.
The loan of EUR 17.4 mn to be contracted through a foreign loan is needed in the further development of the contract concluded between the underground transport company Metrorex and Alstom for maintenance services related to the railway and rolling materials.
