BASF opens its first factory in Romania, in Ploiesti, Nine o' Clock reports. This factory will produce the standard range of innovative additives for the concrete producing industry, such as plastifying substances or super-plastifying substances mainly using local raw materials. The total investment is worth EUR 2 mn. “Romania poses attractive growing rates, mainly within the construction industry-our target industry. The location in Ploiesti has been chosen due to its position. It is ideally situated for us to distribute our products throughout Romania, not far from Bucharest, which currently is our main market,” Harald Pfanzl, Director for Business Management-Additives Systems for Concrete-Northern Europe said.
