Sanpaolo Imi Bank Timisoara - the first Intesa - Sanpaolo branch in Romania

Timisoara was chosen as starting point for the new development that the group Intesa - Sanpaolo wants to make in Romania, owing to the numerous investments, many of them Italian, which have concentrated in this region. In the opinion of the people from Sanpaolo Imi, Timisoara is “the most European city” from Romania. Present in Romania since 2003, through the purchase of 97.8 per cent of West Bank stake, the group Intesa - San Paolo holds, since February 2004, concurrently with the growth of its share capital, 98.36 per cent of the stake.
The mission Sanpaolo Imi Bank Romania circumscribes to the mission of the group, to which it belongs, namely to develop financial and loan activities, offering excellency services, accompanied by a prudent management of the population resources, and a commitment to get involved in the continuous support of the development of the entrepreneurship system, with the purpose to contribute to the global economic growth of Romania.
