Broadcast Networks Helps Romanian Viewers Receive More Satellite Channels

UK-based Systems Integration specialist Broadcast Networks has completed a contract to upgrade the receiver network facilities at Focussat Bucharest in Romania.
Focussat Bucharest, a division of UPC, re-transmits existing satellite channels to the Romanian market.
These include news, sport and general entertainment channels that are received from various satellites around Europe. The broadcaster is improving its infrastructure to make it ready for S8 implementation. Focussat (UPC) deliver state of the art services in Romania using the most up-to-date technology available in the industry.
Broadcast Networks director Tom Haye says: "This project needed to be turned round very quickly so we pre-built equipment racks in the UK before shipping the entire installation over to Bucharest. This reduced our time on site and allowed us to integrate very well with the civil works the customer was undertaking. Once on site, the system was installed in a very short space of time which allowed the customer to continue their live operations during this expansion work without any disruption to existing services."
