Boc: Issues raised by banks about First Home programme sorted
Publish date: 24-07-2009The Executive has set the legal framework to allow all those developers who have built based on mortgage loans to participate in the 'First Home' programme and reassured that all issues raised by the banks already in the programme had been solved, PM Emil Boc stated during the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Agerpres informs. He also stated that the 'nuances' developing during procedures and invoked by banks has been sorted out. 'I can tell you that there are no more barriers of any nature for anyone to have a house built from scratch, buy an unfinished house or buy a completed property, mortgaged or not mortgaged by the developer and benefit from the EUR 60,000 state guarantee and be able to get possession of your new home. All these nuances that have appeared during in the course of procedures and which have been raised by the banks are virtually resolved at this point,' Boc said.
Otopeni Airport modernisation indicators approved
At its Wednesday meeting, the Government approved the technical and economic indicators for the modernisation of the Otopeni Airport regulating the financing of the investment out of own sources and bank loans, Agerpres informs.
'The updated indicators for the 'Development and Modernisation of the Bucharest-Otopeni International Airport' have been approved. The adopted normative act pursues the purpose of regulating the conditions under which the investment is to be carries out and funded in correlation with the updating of all technical and economic indicators' - detailed Government Spokesperson Ioana Muntean. She noted that the financing would come from the company's own sources as well as from local and international bank loans.
'The development of the airport will also have a major social impact, the estimation being that a total of 5,850 new jobs will be established both during the implementation of the investment programme and afterwards,' Muntean explained.
