Romania's Distrigaz Sud Asks For 12% Hike For Household Gas Price
Publish date: 23-09-2008Romanian gas distributor Distrigaz Sud requested on Monday a 12% increase for household gas prices as of October 1, due to higher distribution costs, the president of the industry commission within the Chamber of Deputies, Iulian Iancu told Mediafax.
The request was made in front of the commission by Bernard Arno, general manager of Distrigaz Sud, Iancu said.
Last week, Distrigaz Sud's deputy manager, Nicolas Richard said that he sees higher household gas prices in October due to higher costs of gas delivered from Russia.
ANRE has last increased household gas prices on July 1, by 12.5% in average. At the time, Romania's main distributors Distrigaz Sud and E.ON Gaz Romania said they would request a further hike as the 12.5% increase does not fully cover the costs.
