Sales of apartments in the draft drop to 65% in Bucharest this year
Publish date: 22-09-2008Sales of apartments in the draft phase went down to 65 - 70 percent in Bucharest in 2008, from 90 - 95 percent last year, on a lowering dynamics in the sales of new apartments, a release of real-estate agency RE/MAX reads.
Sales in the draft phase dipped to just 15 percent in the eastern city of Bacau and to 20 percent in the southern city of Pitesti, with people choosing to buy finished homes or homes in advanced stages of construction.
However, about 60 percent of buyers in the central city of Cluj-Napoca and 80 percent of buyers in the central city of Brasov preferred to acquire an apartment in the draft, following the reduced number of residential complexes compared to market demand.
