Financial companies plunge 6% on closing on the BSE, trigger general decrease

The five financial companies in Romania (SIFs) dropped an average 6.18 percent in today's session, on a three-fold hike in liquidity.
Deals went up 2.6 times to 28.02 million lei (7.88 million euros), from 10.82 million lei in the previous session.
The BET index of the ten best companies on the bourse lost 3.36 percent to 5,283.14 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds lowered 2.64 percent to 3,952.78.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIFs plunged 6.18 percent to 32,119.94 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna fell 3.51 percent to 12,559.78.
The BET-XT index measuring the best 25 companies on BSE dipped 4.29 percent to 557.03 and the BET-NG index of the ten power companies on the bourse slipped 2.49 percent to 747.87.
The major European bourses decreased significantly at the closing hour in Bucharest. The DAX index in Frankfurt went down 1.74 percent to 6,170.08 and the the CAC40 index in Paris lowered 1.44 percent to 4,242.12. The FTSE index in London fell 0.99 percent to 5,309.
Shares of Romania's second lender by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) were the most liquid, with deals totaling 6.24 million lei, and dropped 4.19 percent to 16 lei. Fifth lender Banca Transilvania (TLV) plunged 4.86 percent to 0.274 lei.
